Defined Intramurals are modeled after the CrossFit Open: a series of workouts completed by athletes of all levels around the world. The motivation to participate? Camaraderie, along with the shared belief that our training continues to make us better, together.
Who: Defined Intramurals are for everyone, regardless of experience, fitness level, and capability. Your daily training prepares you for this – and life.
What: Defined Intramurals are an opportunity to check in on your fitness, hold you accountable to your training and teammates, accomplish personal goals, execute excellent movement standards, and celebrate with our community.
When: Open workouts are released on Thursdays. We’ll be performing these workouts in class on Sundays. We throwdown on 2/19, 2/26, and 3/5 at 8am, 9:10am and 10:20am. Mark your calendars! Need to miss a Sunday? No worries. Complete your workout anytime with a teammate, Thursday – Monday.
Why: Defined Intramurals and the Open bring us together to pursue something challenging with intent. When we make a commitment to ourselves and our teammates, we learn what we’re truly capable of.

Can I really do this? I don’t want to let my teammates down.
Yes! Your fitness level does not impact your teammates or your team score. But your participation does. If you show up on Sundays, wear your Intramural t-shirt, and share about it on social media, you’ll earn your team a perfect score. If you do happen to earn a top score in your workout for your skill level, you can win your team additional bonus points.
How do I earn points for my team?
Show up on Sunday to workout or support: 1pt. per teammate
Wear your t-shirt or tank on Sunday or during the week: 1 pt. per teammate
Tag @defined.training in a post or story on social media: 1pt. per teammate
Top finishers in Rx/Scaled divisions will receive the following for their team:
1st place men/women: 3pts.
2nd place men/women: 2pts.
3rd place men/women: 1pt.
How do I submit my scores?
We’ll provide you with a link to submit your scores. Submissions will be due before midnight on Monday 2/20, 3/27, and 3/6. No late submissions will be accepted.
Can I scale the workouts?
Of course! You can choose your workout level/division weekly: Rx, Scaled, or Just for Fun. This can change from week to week.
Do I have to participate in the same division as my teammates?
Nope! You do you.
What if I need to miss a Sunday?
No problem. It happens. You can complete your workout anytime with a teammate, Thursday – Monday. You’ll only miss out on 1 point for missing our Sunday Throwdown.
