Defined Intramurals and the CrossFit Open are behind us. Now let’s spring into a new season and a new cycle and a new focus — prepping our bodies for the 1,000 Pound Club and Murph during Memorial Day weekend!
Over 10 weeks, our Daily Training will emphasize the “Big 3” Powerlifts: Back Squat, Deadlift, and Bench Press. At the end of this cycle, we’ll test our strength gains, and the combined weight moved in our Big 3 will earn us a spot in one of our coveted weight clubs. The 1,000 Pound Club is not the only milestone we celebrate — athletes have earned a place on our wall for the 500, 600, 700, 800, and 900 Pound Clubs over past years and we can’t wait to see who joins the list again this year!
Murph, a classic CrossFit Hero WOD performed by affiliates all over the world during Memorial Day weekend, will also cap our training cycle. You’ve probably noticed more running, pull-ups, push-ups, and air squats in our programming — that’s by design. We’ll get you ready!
In CrossFit and strength training, the mantra of “more is better” is tempting. We see elite athletes training multiple times a day, pushing their limits, and assume that doing the same will yield faster results. But the truth is, more volume and exercise aren’t always the key to better performance. In fact, overdoing it can stall progress, increase injury risk, and lead to burnout.
Learn why more isn’t always better in our latest blog post.

Thanks to everyone who made Defined Intramurals one for the books. Check out our recap and celebrate your fellow athletes for all you’ve accomplished!
Our first week of Defined Endurance was a massive success — almost 30 of you showed up!
As a reminder: This is a closed group, but if you didn’t register for the program and want to drop in for a class, reserve your spot in PushPress and you’ll be charged $10 after class. Due to the overwhelming demand, we’ll always prioritize class space for those who registered for the program. Expect to be waitlisted until class time, but we’ll try our best to accommodate everyone.
